Getting Paid

When a client pays for your service, the money is held safely until the work is delivered and approved — then it's transferred to your bank account. This page explains how and when you get paid, and how to set up your payout account.

Set up your payout account

You're paid through Stripe, our payments partner. Before you can receive any money you need to finish a short, one-time setup.

  1. Go to your Profile and open the Funds tab.
  2. Click to connect your payout account and follow the Stripe steps.
  3. You'll be asked for your identity document and your IBAN (bank account). We pre-fill what we already know, so it's quick.
  4. Once Stripe confirms your details, your account is ready to receive payouts.

:::warning Finish your setup, or you don't get paid If you complete a job but never finish your Stripe payout setup, the money stays on hold. After 30 days the client is automatically refunded and you lose that payout. Connect your account as soon as you become an expert so nothing gets stuck. :::

After setup is done, the same Funds tab gives you a link to your Stripe dashboard, where you can see your transfers and update your bank details.

When you get paid

Here's what happens to the money on each order:

  1. Client pays — the funds are held securely (not yet yours to spend).
  2. You deliver the work and the order is completed.
  3. We review and release — our team checks the order, then releases your payout.
  4. Stripe transfers the money to your connected bank account.

You'll get an email confirming each payout once it's sent.

:::note Payouts are reviewed, not automatic Releasing your funds is a manual step on our side, so there can be a short delay between an order being completed and the money arriving. If a job is fully delivered but you haven't been paid, it's simply awaiting review. :::

Your payout statuses

In your Funds tab you'll see your balance split into:

  • Pending — earned on completed orders, waiting to be released and transferred.
  • Paid — already transferred to your bank account.

What you get

Each order shows the service price, the platform fee we keep, and your net payout (what's transferred to you). Your payout is calculated from the agreed price minus the platform fee.

Refunds

If an order is refunded before your payout has been sent, that payout is cancelled and the client is refunded. Once your money has already been transferred, an order can no longer be refunded from those funds.

Good to know

  • You can only be paid after your Stripe payout account is fully set up and verified.
  • Your bank details and identity documents are handled by Stripe — we never see your full bank information.
  • If a payout ever fails (for example, wrong bank details), update your details in your Stripe dashboard from the Funds tab.
  • Earning referral credits is separate from order payouts — see the Referral Program page for how that balance works.
