Getting Paid
When a claimant pays for your service, the funds are held by Stripe for the duration of the contract. They're released to your bank account as soon as both parties validate delivery. This page explains how and when you get paid, and how to set up your payout account.
Set up your payout account
You're paid through Stripe, our payments partner. Before you can receive any money you need to finish a short, one-time setup.
- Go to your Profile and open the Funds tab.
- Click to connect your payout account and follow the Stripe steps.
- You'll be asked for your identity document and your IBAN (bank account). We pre-fill what we already know, so it's quick.
- Once Stripe confirms your details, your account is ready to receive payouts.
:::warning Finish your setup, or you don't get paid If you complete a job but never finish your Stripe payout setup, the money stays on hold. After 30 days the client is automatically refunded and you lose that payout. Connect your account as soon as you become an expert so nothing gets stuck. :::
After setup is done, the same Funds tab gives you a link to your Stripe dashboard, where you can see your transfers and update your bank details.
How to mark an order as delivered
When your work is done:
- Open the order page and click Mark as delivered.
- A window opens: write a summary message and attach the deliverable file or document if needed.
- Submit. The claimant receives an immediate notification.
- They have 48 hours to review and accept the delivery.
- If the claimant does not act within that window, the order is automatically marked as completed and your funds are released.
When you get paid
Here's what happens to the money on each order:
- Claimant pays: the funds are held by Stripe for the duration of the contract.
- You deliver and mark the order as delivered.
- Validation: the claimant accepts, or the 48-hour window passes without action.
- Stripe releases the payout to your connected bank account.
Payouts are grouped and transferred once a week, generally on Monday at 4 pm French time (GMT+2). You'll get an email confirming each payout once it's sent.
:::note Release is handled by Stripe Releasing funds is handled by Stripe once delivery is validated. A short banking delay may pass between validation and the funds arriving in your account. Zorrooo does not intervene in this transaction. :::
Your payout statuses
In your Funds tab you'll see your balance split into:
- Pending: earned on completed orders, waiting to be released and transferred.
- Paid: already transferred to your bank account.
What you get
Each order shows the service price, the infrastructure fee charged to the expert, and your net payout (what's transferred to you). The infrastructure fee covers usage of the service (payments, storage, security, maintenance); it is independent of fees. Lawyers fall under a specific schedule.
Refunds
If an order is refunded before your payout has been sent, that payout is cancelled and the client is refunded. Once your money has already been transferred, an order can no longer be refunded from those funds.
Good to know
- You can only be paid after your Stripe payout account is fully set up and verified.
- Your bank details and identity documents are handled by Stripe: we never see your full bank information.
- If a payout ever fails (for example, wrong bank details), update your details in your Stripe dashboard from the Funds tab.
- Earning referral credits is separate from order payouts: see the Referral Program page for how that balance works.
